VEGETARIANO BURRITOS
What is a vegetariano burritos? There are a few different kinds of beans that are usually used in creating a burrito. Many people will choose either black beans or pinto beans for their Mexican cuisine. Black bean are a good choice if you are looking for something more healthy, but many people like refried and pinto to give their burrito flavor. but we used beand sprouts.
Ingredients
For The Tortillas
- Whole wheat Flour 150 gram
- Flour 150 gram
- Oil 10 gram
- Salt a pinch
- For The Vegetable Stuffing
- Onions 125 gram
- Spring Onions 50 gram
- Cabbage (optional) 125 gram
- Capsicum 75 gram
- Tomato 100 gram
- Green Chillies 2 nos
- Carrot (optional) 50 gram
- Bean Sprouts 50 gram
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Oil 30 gram
- Salt to taste
- Pepper Powder 10 gram
Method of Preparation
For the tortillas
Mix the flours, oil and salt and make dough by adding enough warm water
Knead the dough well, cover with a wet cloth and keep aside for ½ an hour. Knead
again and divide it into 6 equal portions.
Roll out the each portion into thin rounds of 100 mm (5") diameter with the help of a
little flour.Cook lightly on a non-stick pan and keep aside.
For the Vegetable Stuffing
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan on a high flame, and add the vegetables and bean sprouts. and stir-fry for a few minutes.
Add the salt, pepper, vinegar and toss well
Divide the stuffing into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
Place 1 tortilla on a flat dry surface and spread 1 portion of the stuffing on it. Fold into a semi-circle and serve immediately. Repeat with the remaining
tortillas and stuffing to make 5 more veggie stuffed tortillas.
